Misty's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, a special needs pet, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Misty's Story...
Hello, my full name is Taoiseach's Misty but my foster family just calls me Misty. I'm a Beagle mix (my foster mom thinks the mix is yellow lab, not that it really matters much). Now for the details us girls don't like to share. I weigh between 35 and 40 pounds, I stand 20 inches tall at the shoulder and I'm 12 years old. I am considered a "special needs" dog because I am on special food for liver problems.
I'm a good dog; I like to go for walks, lay on the sofa and sleep in the sunshine. I get along well with children, cats and dogs. I do not fetch but I have been know to destroy "mice" cat toys; I like the fur. My original family had to give me up because they were no longer able to take care of me.
I was on "Death Row" at a northern Wisconsin animal shelter but I was rescued by my current foster family. I know I'm a canine senior citizen but I still have lots of companionship and love to give. I enjoy going for rides...I sit quietly and make an excellent passenger. I don't give kisses so you will not have to worry about doggie slobber.
I would make a good therapy dog because of my calm nature. Being part Beagle I do like to bark; my foster mom is helping me learn the difference between appropriate and inappropriate barking. I'm not a "lap dog" but I will be more than happy to sit next to you on the sofa so that you can pet me or rub my tummy.
I have been in my foster home since March 22, 2008 and since that time I have not slept with my foster people on their bed - I let my big foster dog sister do that, I'm content to sleep on the carpet floor in the family's bedroom. I bark when I need to go outside. When outside by foster mom has me on a tie out - I have been known to wonder off if I'm not tethered to something.
I know it's a lot to ask for but I hope I get adopted by people who have a fenced in yard to that I can run around and be free while also knowing I'll be safe. Please consider adopting me....I promise I'll do my best to be a good girl.

My picture will be coming soon.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Misty, a Sheboygan Beagle/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Labrador Retriever for sale in Sheboygan, or seeking a Beagle/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Sheboygan.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sheboygan already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sheboygan breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Beagle/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sheboygan paves the way for another one to be saved.
