My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Odessa

Est. DOB: November 29, 2009
Description: DSH Black
Gender: Female
Adoption Fee: $100.00

Odessa, or “Dessie,” is a sweet and loving girl who loves to snuggle and nap near her people. She is a big girl with a chirpy meow who will let you know when she wants attention. Her favorite things to do are get belly rubs, snuggle, and to be brushed. She is a beautiful black girl with two white toes on one of her back paws. She is extremely proud of her tail and usually holds it up high, almost parallel to her back, for all to see. She is also playful, especially with her favorite toy Da Bird, which is a wand toy with feathers. She also enjoys other wand toys, catnip, and loves to perch at the window and look outside. She gets along very well with other cats and with kittens. Odessa needs a home that can give her a portion-controlled wet food diet because she gains excessive weight when she free feeds. She recently reached her weight loss goal, and is now at a healthy weight. She started off at almost 20 pounds at the start of her diet, and has gradually lost almost half of her body weight since then! She is currently eating Natural Balance canned food – chicken and green pea formula; she eats one 6-ounce can daily (half in the morning, half in the evening).

Odessa came to Alley Cats and Angels from a feral colony.

Fully vetted: tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted); treated for intestinal parasites, fleas, and ear mites; FVRCP+FeLV vaccinated (initial vaccination and booster); and rabies vaccinated; spayed/neutered; microchipped with Home Again microchips with rescue paid registration.
