Tempest's Story...
Name: Tempest
Color: Black and Orange Tortoiseshell
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Gender: Female
Age: 7 Months
This adorable, timid girl is Tempest and she is looking for her loving forever home. Cats can live to be 15-20 years of age so she is really looking for someone who is in it for the long haul.
Big fan of: Tempest will need a little bit of time to warm up to new people and situations and will appreciate a quiet, patient home who will give her the time she needs to adjust. She is a delightful handful who is going to take lot of work but will reward you with lots of love for years to come.
Dream Home: Tempest was returned to us after not getting along with the children in her home and will need to go to a family without any young kids so her ears and tails won't be pulled. A cat-savvy dog would likely be alright by her as long as it knows not to chase after her but will need a home without any other cats.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tempest, a Bellingham Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
