Tux's Story...
Tux is Mr. Cool, a great cat! We lovingly refer to him as our bully-breed cat because of his size and bulk--he weighs 19.4 lb. His estimated date of birth is 12-30-11. Tux was rescued as a sick stray with a bad respiratory infection. He received veterinary treatment and was nursed back to health. He is now well and healthy. He has been neutered, vaccinated, dewormed and tested negative for feline leukemia virus. Handsome Tux has an unusual and beautiful black smoke coat (black tip with white undercoat) with white on chest, nose and paws. He has a great personality and is a likable, friendly, outgoing lap cat who is looking for a good, permanent home. He likes people and is calm and mellow. $25 adoption fee, cash only, which is to help reimburse for a portion of expenses of rescue and rehabilitation. Adoption contract required. Location: Quail Valley/Menifee, Southwest Riverside County. Local adoptions only; within 50 mile radius because we deliver animal to its new home. We are looking for adopters who are willing and able to care for this pet for its lifetime (15+ years). If interested, please email us with a little info about you, your family, your other pets, where you live, etc. Thank you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tux, a Quail Valley Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Quail Valley, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Quail Valley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Quail Valley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Quail Valley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Quail Valley paves the way for another one to be saved.
