Peanut's Story...
Peanut is a fun and sweet little kitten (5-6 months old) that was a bottle fed baby and loves people. He has a fracture in his back leg and walks with a wobble. It is expected as his leg mends that his hip with strengthen. Because he loves people one must watch where they walk as he likes to be “right with you”, and sometimes under your feet. He’s very fun, gentle, loves other cats, is a joy to be with, and his sweetness shows all the time.

He has been neutered, tested negative for feline leukemia, has his first set of vaccinations including the leukemia vaccination, is micro chipped and has been treated for fleas and worms.

Peanut’s adoption fee is $90 and includes one month free sheltercare pet insurance.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Peanut, a Salem Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Salem, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
