Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Callie: 7 month old female White Mitted Tortie Maine Coon mix
This lovely girl was either lost, or left, outside. She was alone and frightened. The woman who found her was connected to one of our volunteers and of course she was taken in and cared for. On the way to becoming my foster, she went to a vet and was examined, spayed, combo tested, and given her shots. She also was given a microchip to help keep her safe.
First of all, she is just a baby still. Her body will grow for a couple more years. Her coat is still growing in length and fullness. Her sense of safety in the world is still growing though she seems surprisingly confident . She traveled by car for four hours coming to me today and yet her expression is quite composed for such early photographs. She will relax more in the next few days and look a little less serious as she takes up her job of being a playful, curious kitten.
Callie has a silky, soft, medium longhaired coat with a mixture of red tabby and brown tabby giving her a very unusual, exotic look. She will only get more beautiful as she grows into her looks and her coat fills out and deepens in color (which happens with age). Her green eyes are the perfect counterpoint to the red in her coloring. Her feet and bib are snowy white and her tail is dark. Her nose is pink, of course. Her voice is little and squeaky.
Callie likes humans and is very affectionate. She loves to be petted and stroked. She seems to be fine with other cats. She is essentially a good-natured, sweet-hearted girl.
I will write more when I know her better.
She eats wet and dry food and is litterbox perfect.
