Dexter's Story...

Meet Dexter! Dexter is a really special 2.5 year old Chiweenie/Terrier mix. He was found running down the street with a bag on his head and has turned out to be such a sweetheart. Dexter is fixed, utd on shots, chipped, and ready to go. Dexter is potty trained and crate trained and even completed two weeks of a board and train with a professional trainer and learned many important skills. Dexter does well with other dogs and children, but isn't too fond of cats and Hispanic males. He is a sweet and loving dog and would love to have a lap to sit on day and night. Dexter is available for adoption through One by One Animal Rescue

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dexter, a Phoenix Rat Terrier/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier/Dachshund for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Rat Terrier/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier/Dachshund breeders who help with Rat Terrier/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
