Junior's Story...
The name's Junior and being a loveable meathead is my game! I love everyone and everything I meet. I don't even know what the word stranger means. I was dumped at animal control by my last family and was scheduled to be euthanized because the shelter was full. Thank goodness my foster mom happened to see me one day when she was pulling dogs from the shelter. She took me home and showed me how great it is to be loved. I am your typical happy- go- lucky boy who loves to get his belly scratched. How can you resist a cute mug like mine? Each dog in our rescue is in a loving foster home, where they can grow, play, and recover from their time spent on the streets or in a shelter. If you'd like to meet an adoptable dog, please fill out an application on our website (www.EveryDogCountsRescue.us)! ONLY APPROVED APPLICANTS WILL BE ALLOWED TO VISIT OUR AVAILABLE DOGS. Every Dog Counts Rescue (EDCR) is a non-profit organization founded to save the lives of dogs in high-kill shelters in the Midwest. Dogs facing death row are pulled from shelters and brought to Indianapolis where they are fostered and receive veterinary care. They are then transported to our rescue partners in areas of the country with less pet over-population, or EDCR searches for loving homes for them locally. EDCR believes that truly every dog counts, regardless of age, breed, injury or disability.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Junior, a Indianapolis American Bulldog/American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Bulldog/American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Indianapolis, or seeking a American Bulldog/American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Indianapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Indianapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Indianapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Bulldog/American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with American Bulldog/American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Indianapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
