Rex's Story...
Hi, I'm Rex! I was adopted as a little puppy from EDCR. Due to unforeseen circumstances my family was no longer able to keep me and I was brought back to a foster home with EDCR. I really miss my old family but would love to find a new family that I can share my life with. I am a very sweet and smart boy. I like playing with other dogs and enjoy cuddling on the sofa with humans. Even though I am a big boy I think I am a lap dog and would love to help keep your lap warm on chilly nights. I have so much love to give. Now all I need is a new family to give it to. Each dog in our rescue is in a loving foster home, where they can grow, play, and recover from their time spent on the streets or in a shelter. If you'd like to meet an adoptable dog, please fill out an application on our website (www.EveryDogCountsResce.us), download the file to your computer, then attach it to an email and send to: EveryDogCountsRescue@gmail.com. ONLY APPROVED APPLICANTS WILL BE ALLOWED TO VISIT OUR AVAILABLE DOGS. Every Dog Counts Rescue (EDCR) is a non-profit organization founded to save the lives of dogs in high-kill shelters in the Midwest. Dogs facing death row are pulled from shelters and brought to Indianapolis where they are fostered and receive veterinary care. They are then transported to our rescue partners in areas of the country with less pet over-population, or EDCR searches for loving homes for them locally. EDCR believes that truly every dog counts, regardless of age, breed, injury or disability.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rex, a Indianapolis Great Dane/American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane/American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Indianapolis, or seeking a Great Dane/American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Indianapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Indianapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Indianapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane/American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with Great Dane/American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Indianapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
