Lexie's Story...
Transfer In

Lexi is a sweet 10 year old girl who is looking for a home to retire in. She would like a calm and quiet home to be in with older children. She like to go in the car and likes to hang out with people but she appreciates being given space and plenty of time to adjust to new situations. She is not into loud noises and lots of commotion. She does get along with other dogs and cats. Lexie came to us when her owner passed away. Lexie will need a pre-adoption Medical consultation to help explain her special needs needs.

Lexi's adoption fee is $100.00. The adoption fee includes spay/neuter, initial vaccinations, microchip, general deworming, flea control. We also offer one month discounted pet insurance, courtesy vet exam and plenty of post adoption support.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lexie, a Vancouver Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
