Amalia's Story...

Seriously, is there anything more fun than a 3 month rat? Amalia is an active and happy little girl who has a huge personality in a small body. She loves to climb things, run through cardboard tubes and burrow into some hay. Rats are very social animals and can live peacefully with another same sex litter mate as long as their cages are large enough to accommodate them as they grow. We do ask she have a buddy at home or you adopt two, as they are very social and intelligent animals. Adoption fee is $5.00

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Amalia, a Vancouver Rat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a Rat from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat breeders who help with Rat rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
