Gremlin's Story...

Gremlin is a shy but sweet chinchilla who is pretty chill. Although shy around unfamiliar people, he allows you to pick him up but it isn't his favorite thing. He will benefit with a patient person who can allow him to warm up at his own pace. Like all chinchillas, he is nocturnal, loves to exercise on his wheel and is very quick with darting movements that may make him inappropriate in a home with very small children. Gremlin needs a home that will give his living space daily attention to ensure it is kept clean and he has appropriate foods. Chinchillas require regular dust baths to keep their coats their softest and healthiest. If you are not chinchilla experienced, TCAR recommends you research chinchillas as house pets and their housing and care needs prior to adopting Gremlin to ensure everyone gets off to a great start. His adoption fee is $50.00.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gremlin, a Vancouver Chinchilla was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chinchilla for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a Chinchilla from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chinchilla breeders who help with Chinchilla rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
