Rescue Story-
Luca and his four siblings were surrendered to us along with their Mother. Luca's Mum Luna was found as a little kitten in the woods by a family who raised her as an indoor/outdoor cat. Unfortunately due to the financial difficulties they could not spay her in time and so she had five lovely kittens. Luna and her five kittens were surrendered to us as the family is not able to care for them any longer. Luna is now happy to be an indoor only cat and loves all the attention and care that she is getting in her loving foster home. The five kittens have always been indoors only cats and very healthy and socialized cats. These cats grew up with cats, dogs as well as kids and gets along great with all.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Luca, a Wilbraham Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Wilbraham, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Wilbraham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wilbraham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wilbraham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wilbraham paves the way for another one to be saved.
