Shiraz's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Shiraz's Story...
Shiraz is a gorgeous girl. We saw her at a local shelter that is not no-kill and had to rescue her. Unfortunately she was heartworm postive. We treat our dogs before we put them in a new home. Shiraz has had one treatment and will get her 2nd two-day treatment January 12th & 13th. She will be ready for her new 4 to 6 weeks from that date...so we are taking applications now.

Shiraz has a great foster home, they have socialized her, taught that a kennel is a good thing, she even knows to ring the bell on the door handle when she wants to go outside.

We would like for the potential adopter to be familiar with this breed. They require an assertive owner that will continue their training and keep her sharp mind stimulated. She is not a dog to be just left outside, most especially in the summer. Shiraz wants human interaction. We have not had her around small children.

If you are interested in meeting Shiraz, please go to our website, read about our adoption process and complete an application. We will set up a meet & greet based upon how well she is recovering from her treatment.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shiraz, a Wimberley Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky for sale in Wimberley, or seeking a Husky dog from a breeder in Wimberley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wimberley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wimberley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky breeders who help with Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wimberley paves the way for another one to be saved.
