Lizzie's Story...
There are a ton of famous individuals from fiction and history that surely used the lovely name of Lizzy, the unrivaled Queen Elizabeth's of England, Elizabeth Bennett, Lizzie Compton, Elizabeth Taylor to name a few. Our lively Lizzy is 3 years old, UTD on her shots, will be spayed prior to leaving w/ her fur-ever family, and she has the most luxuriously soft coat on the block. She won't share her secrets with us, but many of the other ladies at the shelter are pretty jealous of her silky hair. She is certainly one of a kind, but could have some australian shepherd, greater swiss mountain dog, border collie, german shepherd ancestry. Come visit this fabulous fur-baby at Second Chance Shelter in Boaz, Al, she is available for adoption for a fee of $40. Even if she can't go home with you, she would LOVE a few minutes of head-scratching and love.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lizzie, a Boaz Australian Shepherd/Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Border Collie for sale in Boaz, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Border Collie dog from a breeder in Boaz.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Boaz already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Boaz breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Border Collie breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Boaz paves the way for another one to be saved.
