Dottie's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Dottie's Story...
Dottie is a fantastic medium sized 3.5 year old girl residing at Second Chance Shelter and looking for a fur-ever family. She gets along with dogs of all sizes, is already spayed, UTD on her shots. She is a good 'helper' to volunteers at the shelter, and is always excited to see new people. She might be a few pounds on the heavier side, but just more dog to love in her humble opinion (the way she helps is by 'helping' pass out treats and 'taste-testing for any potential faulty treats!' She has gorgeous coloring, and would be a good dog to take on walks and hikes and to veg out on the couch!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dottie, a Boaz Australian Cattle Dog/Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog/Australian Shepherd for sale in Boaz, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog/Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Boaz.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Boaz already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Boaz breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Boaz paves the way for another one to be saved.
