Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Kimberly is such an eye catching dog! About 18 months old, she's a black lab mix with a medium length coat. At first glance, she looks like many other black dogs. But look closer! You'll notice she has dark brown stockings on her legs, and silver tips on her tail and hind quarters!
Kimberly has an incredible story that makes her even more than a beautiful dog.
Kimberly was dumped at a high kill shelter when she was very pregnant, along with her pregnant sister and another sister. When Circle of Hope got word, we got there ASAP to save all of them. By the time we arrived, both mamas had given birth. Lucky for them, the mamas and pups didn't have to spend more than a few days there. One of our volunteers took them all home and has been caring for them ever since.
Only one of Kimberly's pups survived, but her mothering instincts were so strong she nursed and cared for her sister's remaining pups when the sister was no longer able to nurse. This close knit family shared parenting duties, even though Kimberly was the nursing mom for all six pups.
The babies are moving to their forever homes, and now it's time for this precious girl to find her forever home too.
Kimberly's loving personality doesn't extend to cats, so she will not be placed in a home with them.
We are a shelterless rescue, which means we do not have a physical location, so it is not possible to come to see multiple dogs at one time. Our adoption fee is $450 and includes all their vetting, including their spay/neuter, and transport up to the Northeast.***
