Althea's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Althea's Story...
Althea is a great little girl. A bit shy at first, but then becomes a playful love bug. Judging by her longer build, she is a mix between a Jack Russell terrier and a dachshund. She weighs about 21 pounds and is a little over a year old. Althea is crate-trained and house broken. She's working on basic commands and walking on a leash. She is OK with cats, but won't care if you don't have one. The same with other dogs. Once all the ritual "getting to know you's" are over, is good with other dogs, but would also love all the attention of being an "only" fur baby. If your looking for a loving dog to spoil rotten she's your gal! Althea is fostered in Huntsville, AL and to meet her just email info@forrescue.net.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Althea, a Nashville Jack Russell Terrier/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier/Dachshund for sale in Nashville, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Nashville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Nashville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Nashville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier/Dachshund breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Nashville paves the way for another one to be saved.
