Benny's Story...
Here's a not-so-funny story of two brothers: Jack and Benny were abandoned on someone's property in Arkansas when they were too young to fend for themselves. Luckily, the property owner spotted them and took them for vet care, gave them food and love and now these big boys are looking for a forever home! Benny is an unusual color that isn't captured very well in these photos, but his fur is very dark chocolate! He's about 10 weeks old, more laid back than his brother, very friendly and would love a family to call his own! He's already a big boy so please make sure you're up for a large adult dog! If you have room in your home and heart for a big bouncing baby boy, email homesweethomerescue@yahoo.com for an application. Full vetting and transport included in $300 adoption fee.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Benny, a Westport Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Westport, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Westport.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Westport already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Westport breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Westport paves the way for another one to be saved.
