CLANCY's Story...
Meet CLANCY, an energetic young mini who was rescued from animal care & control of Jacksonville.
He weighs about 17.5 lbs. He takes a little while to get used to new surroundings, so an experienced dog owner would be best for him. He was unsure of his situation for a while especially since he was getting medicine and baths etc so much, but his foster mom says CLANCY is starting to relax and show his personality more. The family that gets him will need to realize he needs time to warm up to them (it took two to three weeks for him to really relax and be himself). It is possible he was reserved because he had been found on the streets and we don't know how long he was left out there.

CLANCY is great with kids, and would do best in a fenced yard and with a family that could take him for several walks a day. He is housebroken and up to date on all shots. To learn more about adopting CLANCY, please go to www.coastalpoodlerescue.org/poodles/poodledetail.cfm?DogID=886.

Can't adopt right now? Consider becoming a foster home for a rescue dog; it's temporary, but very fulfilling and your only cost is their food! Fill out a volunteer application from our website at www.coastalpoodlerescue.org

APPLICATIONS ARE ACCEPTED ONLY FROM FULL/PART-TIME RESIDENTS OF FLORIDA AS A HOME VISIT IS REQUIRED; NO EXCEPTIONS. IF YOU DO NOT LIVE IN FLORIDA, PLEASE LOOK FOR RESCUE GROUPS IN YOUR HOME STATE. WE APPRECIATE YOUR COOPERATION.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

CLANCY, a Melbourne Miniature Poodle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Miniature Poodle for sale in Melbourne, or seeking a Miniature Poodle dog from a breeder in Melbourne.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Melbourne already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Melbourne breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Miniature Poodle breeders who help with Miniature Poodle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Melbourne paves the way for another one to be saved.
