Mochi's Story...
My name is Mochi (like the Japanese ice cream) and the vet thinks I am 6 years old. I am mostly white with a cute brown spot on my rear about the size of a large pepperoni. I am presumed deaf but all my other senses are very much present like my sight, smell, and sense of touch. I love to be held in your arms so I can cuddle my head right under your chin or on your shoulder. I will stay like that for hours. I am not a barker unless I get really excited when playing with my other foster friends. And because I am deaf, my little bark is so cute because I can't hear myself. I would be perfect in a home with other small pets but wouldn't mind being the only one and having you all to myself. Besides cuddling, my favorite thing to do is hang out at the small dog park in OB. I am a special girl with a lot of love to give and can't wait for my forever family. If you are interested in meeting Mochi, please fill out an application found at www.RescueAChi.com and we will set up a time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mochi, a San Diego Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
