Ruby's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Ruby's Story...
Her name is Ruby and she is one of the gentlest creatures ever. Ruby came into the shelter in October giving her the title of long timer. She was already spayed and knew sit. Because of her easy going nature, Ruby soon became a shelter favorite and was used to temperament test new dogs coming into the shelter. Ruby was pulled by Friends of the Animals and there is no dog more deserving of a loving home. Ruby shares her home with multiple dogs of varying ages and sizes. She plays happily with the younger dogs but knows to treat the geriatric, crankier ones with due respect . She even allows the puppy to drag her around by her jowls without ever losing her good humor. Ruby is house trained and crate trained. She is a year and half old and weighs in at a petit 38 pounds. She loves an evening walk but loves curling up next to you even more. Ruby would make a fantastic family dog or the perfect companion for a single person. If you are looking for a loyal, loving friend, Ruby may just be your girl.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ruby, a Baton Rouge Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
