Maise's Story...
Hello, I am Maisie. I am a 7 year old girl of 75 pounds. AGB picked up me and my best friend Nellie from a shelter because they wanted to help us get healthy and find a good home. They have been taking good care of us, but Nellie was very, very sick with something called cancer. She crossed over the Rainbow Bridge recently and I lost her, which has made me very sad. I have had some medical issues of mine own including a growth on my eyelid, a yeast infection in my ears, lots of dental plaque and some fleas and ticks, but luckily I do not have those nasty heartworms. AGB has been working very hard to help me get well. The people taking care of me say I am sweet, gentle and well behaved. I have not had one accident in my kennel and I ride well in the car. What I really need now is a family to make me feel safe and secure and help me to feel happy again. I hope someone comes to get me soon. I have a lot of love to give and I am just waiting to meet the person who wants me to give it to them. Thank you for taking the time to ready my story. I hope you will come see me soon. Love, Maisie.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maise, a BIRMINGHAM Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in BIRMINGHAM, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in BIRMINGHAM.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in BIRMINGHAM already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a BIRMINGHAM breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in BIRMINGHAM paves the way for another one to be saved.
