My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Max! He is an adorable 1 ½ year old dachshund/terrier mix, weighing about 17 lbs. Max loves to be with people and he doesn't seem to prefer one person over another—he loves everyone! If you hold and pet him, he will melt into your arms and sometimes he will even talk to you and tell you how much he loves you! Max also likes toys and bones and a home could never have too many.
A couple of months ago, Max got himself into a bit of trouble and somehow broke his leg. He had to have surgery to repair it, but the doctor is very pleased and expects him to make a complete recovery. He has been walking more and more on his leg and the doctor said he is ready for his new forever home!

Max is house-trained, crate-trained, and knows the command “sit”. He is good with other dogs, but from time to time will play a little rough with a small dog, so it would probably be best if he shared a home with larger dogs. Max is such a sweet boy that wants someone to love and spend time with him!

Max is fostered in Huntsville, Alabama. He is up to date on all his vaccinations and is microchipped and neutered. Your inquiry should be answered within 24 hours or sooner, and thanks for considering Max!
