IDGSR WELCOMES MUFASA INTO THE SAFETY OF THE RESCUE!!!!
Pulled from a high kill southern shelter, Mufasa as he is now known is another victim of
abuse and neglect. Everyday IDGSR volunteers are just infuriated by the depths that people will
go to hurt a innocent being.
Sadly we have the experience to deal with these cases and loving them to wellness is what we do
to help them overcome the terrible 'previous life' things that happened to them. Mufasa is a very scared boy, he is very timid and afraid of people, however he loved our Official Child tester and was giving her kisses, so Mufasa knows that some children can be kind.
He is not fear aggressive in any way. He was just fine with the cat as well and is good with other dogs.
He has a long way to go to become more confident and feel Happy, He is Getting there, but it's going to take time, Time for him to forget the awful things done to him, Time to forget his pain. This little wounded Soul can and will overcome this with the right folks.
He is not for the inexperienced dog handler. This is a dog who will need patience and each day pushing him past his comfort zone to a full and beautiful life. We have had about a 1/2 dozen other dogs just like him since last August and they ALL came out of the same shelter and area, All young dogs under 1 yr. of age. It only indicates that abuse is rampant in this area.

Each dog's adoption donation varies depending on the age of the dog.
$300 for any dog 1 year and younger (BABY)
$250 for any dog 1-6 years (ADULT)
$150 for dogs over 7 (SENIOR)
All our adoptable dogs are up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing & monthly preventative and have been spayed or neutered.
Everyone must submit an application before an appointment is made to meet the dogs. Dogs are introduced to prospective adopters BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.
All dogs are fostered in TN unless stated otherwise.
