Buzz*ADOPTED!*'s Story...
BUZZ HAS BEEN ADOPTED!!Buzz is an adorable, friendly, social and very playful 9 week old male Border Collie Schnauzer mix puppy. He was rescued from a kill shelter in Kentucky with his 4 siblings. Parents were unknown, so breed is an educated guess. Buzz and his identical sister, Brindy are the oddballs of the litter. Every other pup looks like an Aussie/Border, while these two have wiry fur, short tails and square muzzles much like Schnauzers. Since they are mixed breeds with unknown parentage, we cannot say for sure if they will be non-shedding like Schnauzers. We are guessing they will be minimal shedders, but are not certain. Please do not apply for these pups if anyone in the household is allergic to dogs or if you are strictly looking for a non-shedding dog. We want these pups to go to forever homes. We are estimating that Buzz and his littermates will be medium sized dogs when fully grown 30-45 pounds. Buzz loves meeting new people and other dogs and he'll make one lucky household a wonderful friend. Buzz and his siblings will be ready to leave for their forever homes the weekend of January 30th, however we are currently accepting applications for them. He will be neutered, had at least two series of puppy vaccines, two rounds of dewormer and microchipped before being placed. His adoption donation of $375 helps to offset his medical expenses while in our care. For more info or for an application to adopt Buzz or his siblings, please email The family is currently being fostered in Chicago.

• Buzz’s adoption donation is $375. This donation helps to cover his neuter, initial vaccines, initial worming and microchip. Pal's Place relies solely on donations to care for the pets in our care. Your donation also helps save other animals like Buzz from euthanasia.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buzz*ADOPTED!*, a Chicago Border Collie/Schnauzer (Standard) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Schnauzer (Standard) for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Border Collie/Schnauzer (Standard) puppy from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Schnauzer (Standard) breeders who help with Border Collie/Schnauzer (Standard) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
