My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello friends!! Thanks for clicking on my picture! Let me tell you a little bit about myself and my brothers so that we can get to know each other better.

I am a 6 month old male Maltese puppy who came to the wonderful folks at NBS Animal Rescue when my original owners couldn't take care of us when we got sick with Parvo virus. They contacted our friends at CHAINED who reached out to NBS Animal Rescue to see if they could help us. The awesome volunteers at NBS Animal Rescue dropped everything Christmas day to come and get me and my siblings and take us to the doggy hospital. We spent a week in the hospital and are happy to share that we're all better now and ready to start looking for our fur-ever homes!

We are loving, playful, and like to learn new things. We have had our first vaccines, will get our second set of vaccines in three weeks, and will be neutered in a month before we are ready to go home. Our foster mom is amazing and she makes sure that we are all happy and healthy!

We are looking for a fur-ever home that:
- Is home often and has a plan in place to let a puppy out every 3-4 hours or so as we have tiny bladders and need to potty frequently.

- Has children over the age of 7 and are calm and gentle with small puppies like us. Don't get us wrong - kids are great - we're all just really teeny tiny with fragile bones.

- Either has a fenced yard for us to romp and play in while supervised, or have a schedule that allows us to go for several walks throughout the day, doggy day care, etc. We love to play and have lots of energy!

My adoption fee is $250.00 and includes DHPP vaccine, bordatella vaccine, De-worming, spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccine, heartworm test, heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative, microchip insertion, bath, nail trim, ear cleaning, leash and collar and one week's worth of food.

You can fill out a simple online adoption application at www.nbsar.org and we will start processing your application right away! We do require that persons interested in meeting me apply online and be approved as an adopter first so please visit our website and submit your application today!

Our adoption process requires that any pet in your household be current on it's vaccinations and heartworm preventative as well as spayed/neutered unless there is a documented medical reason on file with your veterinarian. Dogs must be current on DHLPP, Rabies, and Heartworm Preventative, cats must be current on Distemper, Rabies, and Heartworm Preventative at the time of application.

While I hope that you have fallen in love with me and will fill out an adoption application right away, I understand if I might not be the perfect pup for your family. Would you please help me by sharing my picture and information on your Facebook page, or e-mail to your friends and family members? I'm a great pup and I really deserve a loving family to give all of my love and puppy kisses to! Thank-you for your help!
