Babe's Story...
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Babe is a  big (between 130 and 150lbs) beautiful girl. Her owner died recently and Babe needs a new home where she can be inside most of the time. It is just too hot for her in Louisiana and she digs in the yard in an effort to have a cool place to lie down. Babe has perfect house manners but she will wander if not in a fenced yard. She has lived inside all of her 8 years and that is all she knows.  She is very gentle and likes other dogs and 'her' cats, but not other people's. She loves all children and is very gentle with the smaller ones. She walks well on a leash, unless she sees a cat. She doesn’t know any commands because she was never taught but is quick to learn because she wants very much to please. Babe is a very sweet, loving dog. She will bark at intruders and guards her house once she settles in. Babe is up to date on all of her vaccinations and is heart worm negative.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Babe, a Rayville Great Pyrenees dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Pyrenees for sale in Rayville, or seeking a Great Pyrenees dog from a breeder in Rayville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rayville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rayville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Pyrenees breeders who help with Great Pyrenees rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rayville paves the way for another one to be saved.
