Gus's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Gus's Story...
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

This perfect English Mastiff will not last long! Gus has come back into rescue after the death of his first adoptive parent, and divorce of the second.

Gus has perfect manners, will follow you around but lay down wherever you are.  He's good with kids and other dogs.. he goes to the bathroom when you tell him to and just wants to get back inside (with you!) loves to ride in the car, and follows his foster mom everywhere. In the house, he never touches anything, including her glass tables, pottery, and artwork.

When a stranger approaches his yard, he barks so that someone up to no good would go elsewhere, but when his foster mom tells him the person is a friend, he wags his tail and welcomes them in. We know for a fact that he is great with other large dogs and children over 4 years. Oh, and did we mention that he talks? His foster mom says he will tell you when he doesn't want to do something (like kennel up), but does it immediately anyway. (She also says he has more personality than most of the people she knows!)

If you want the perfect companion, hurry to fill out an application, because Gus is a rare commodity!   If you can promise Gus a forever home, please fill out the adoption application at www.thedeltahumanesociety.com or email lamastiff@gmail.com for more information.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gus, a Rayville Mastiff dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Mastiff for sale in Rayville, or seeking a Mastiff dog from a breeder in Rayville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rayville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rayville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Mastiff breeders who help with Mastiff rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rayville paves the way for another one to be saved.
