"Are you looking for a friendly, loving fellow? My name is BLACKIE, and I may be just what you're looking for. I'm a seven-year-old Cockapoo male (Cocker Spaniel/ Poodle blend), and I'm loaded with charm. I'm here at the El Cajon Animal Shelter because my owner passed away and I had nowhere else to go. I know in my heart that there's a kind person out there who'll take me home and love me forever. Maybe that will be you! I enjoy going for walks, and I do need to lose a few pounds, so maybe we can explore the neighborhood together as we get some exercise. I'd be a wonderful family pet, and I get along nicely with other dogs. I've already been house trained, and I know how to sit on command. I sure hope you'll come visit me so that we can spend some time in the great play yard that they have here.
