My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Mindy and I’m excited at the thought of being a loyal companion for a loving forever family that likes to spend time together, play games and have fun. I’m a lab-hound mix, about 6 months old, and I weigh about 25 lbs. I’m very energetic and get so excited when volunteers come to walk me and play with me twice a day. They say I’m a quick learner and are training me to respond to basic commands so that when you adopt me I can more quickly become a well-mannered family pet. When they give me praise and hugs, I’m so happy my tail just won’t stop wagging. I especially enjoy the kids and teenagers who come to help with my care and training. I’m a curious, playful girl — and a little on the sassy side. While I live outside right now, I think I’d make a great indoor pet as long as you give me plenty of exercise and chew toys to occupy my time when you’re not around. I’m healthy, up to date on all shots, heartworm negative and spayed. If my name sounds familiar, it’s because I’m named for the Pam Dawber character on the “Mork and Mindy” TV show. My sweet brother Mork and I came to live at this comfy shelter after our previous owner dumped us out of his car. Thankfully, a kind island resident saw what happened and rescued us. If interested in meeting me please email martowe514@gmail.com or call Margaret at 843-869-3869. Thank you for taking the time to read my story. I look forward to meeting you.
