My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello! My name is Laverne. I am approximately 2 years of age, female and 10 pounds in weight. I have the absolute softest coat. My foster mom thinks I probably have Pug in my mix. Also, I do howl at times in my crate so I suppose some beagle may be in the mix as well. I am confident exploring new environments and will respond positively to verbal encouragement and food when asked to “be brave and check it out!” I love to run and play and I do not care with whom. Kids, big dogs, smaller dogs, adults, anyone who wants to run, or play with a toy. But if everyone is sitting down, I am happy being still and hanging out with the crowd. I am extremely agile and have been found in some interesting places in my foster home, the fireplace hearth, the coffee table, etc. Hey, I am just exploring my world and no damage was done!! I am sort of like a cat that way. I would love to do some agility training or obedience as I am agile and super smart. I am not concerned with squirrels or birds. I do not go into my crate on my own, however, I am quiet in my crate at night. During the day I might fuss the first few minutes but everyone ignores me so I quiet down and nap. I am doing very well on potty training. I walk nicely on lead and I do really enjoy walks. I am very quiet and only bark if someone comes to the door. I quiet when asked. During the day my people are busy so I spend time in my crate but in the evenings I love being in a doggy pile snuggling with my canine friends. I will snuggle with people but I don’t stay long. Just checking in for the ear scratches. I would like an active forever home and one with at least one canine friend. Laverne is up to date on all shots, heart worm negative, on heart worm preventative, spayed, microchipped, had a dental and de-wormed. Lavern’s adoption fee is $250.00. WE DO NOT ACCEPT PERSONAL CHECKS. Out of state adopters are responsible for arranging transport, WE DO NOT SHIP DOGS.
