DJ's Story...
My name is DJ and I’m a 7 month old female cat. My owner had too many cats and worked a lot of hours. He asked Kitty Connection to find some of us cats a new home. I need someone who has experience and time to work with me cause I am a little shy. Of course, I love other cats. Having another young, friendly cat to play with would definitely help to bring me out of my shell. People don’t realize that kittens need people to spend a lot of time with them. Sadly, I’m so used to my home and not a lot of people interacting with me that I, along with two other siblings, am not a popular adoption choice. I may always be on the shy side but love, playtime, and attention will make me a wonderful pet if you do have the time and patience to work with me. All my medical work is done. I just need one more distemper shot.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

DJ, a Medford Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Medford, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Medford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Medford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Medford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Medford paves the way for another one to be saved.
