Shortcake's Story...
Munchkin & Shortcake are new arrivals to GGOH; intake date 1/4/2015. Papered, Rat Terriers. These precious souls lost their owner; he passed away and sadly, they had nowhere to go. They are getting along very well and are being loved by everyone until we can find a new furever home for them. Both are female, up-to-date on vaccinations and spayed. UPDATE: Princess has also now joined her sister's here at GGOH; she arrived the week of March 8th, 2015. Princess had originally gone to another party when her owner passed, but sadly, they no longer wanted her and we felt it only right that Princess join her sisters. This is a different case for us here at GGOH as these three have been together since puppies and are very, very bonded. They must all be adopted together as they would surely suffer if they were split up again. Ages are 8, 9 and 10 (as of Oct. 2015).

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shortcake, a New Richmond, Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in New Richmond,, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in New Richmond,.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New Richmond, already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New Richmond, breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New Richmond, paves the way for another one to be saved.
