My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kona is a brindle Lab/Plott hound mix and is a total sweetie.  He gets along well with the dogs he has met. Although he is wary of new dogs initially, he is currently in a foster home with a 2 year-old boxer.  He has tested negative for heartworm disease, has been vaccinated, and has been neutered since entering his foster home. He absolutely loves human attention and loves to play with all kinds of toys.  He is crate-trained, but would do best in a home where he has access to a secure yard or several daily outings to do his business and romp.  He has lots of energy and is enthusiastic about learning new tricks or just playing with people or other dogs.  He could benefit from some continued training, but his attentiveness has already enabled him to learn a few commands in the short time at his foster home and it looks like he could be a real smarty.  It helps that all he wants is just to make his human happy.
Kona has not been tested with children or cats yet, but we will be testing him and adding that information as soon as possible.
