My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This precious little shih tzu mix is approx 2-3 yrs old and 14.6 lbs. He was found homeless on the streets in the 5th ward, a pretty nasty part of Houston and was hanging out with some buddies who were rescued as well. He is just one of the sweetest dogs, he had heart worms and has been treated and he is also started on a monthly heart worm preventive. He is blind in one eye, his eye vet said it looked like some sort of trauma and there was not anything we could do about it, but it doesn’t seem to bother him at all. He also walks a little gingerly on his back legs and we had the vet x ray him - it looks like an old injury to the left side of his pelvis, but it has healed and again there is nothing more to be done, he just has a somewhat funny gait. He is very well behaved, likes to curl up in his doggie bed with his buddies, seems to be well house and leash trained, very quiet and when his coat grows back he is going to be a beautiful dog. He does not like cats, he is terrified of them and that's the only time we have heard him bark when a cat approaches him - he must have been beaten up by one while out on the streets.. but he gets along with all of his rescue buddies and is one really sweet and loving little boy..
