My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

The Poodle/Bichon mix is a perfect combo for those who are searching for an extremely smart and loyal family dog that is considered one of the most hypoallergenic breed mixes available. Of utmost importance as well...both breeds are famous for their great temperaments and extremely loving and snuggly ways. They're also known to be trustworthy and very gentle with family members (as long as the family is gentle and loving as well). They generally do very well with other family pets...and since (like all dogs) they require a certain amounts of exercise and mental stimulation...if a walk or outing is the order of the day - count them in! These mixes are known to walk and play joyfully and energetically...and then crash on the couch snuggling close to their family.
Oliver is an absolutely adorable and engaging guy who favors the intellect of the Poodle while taking on the very engaging qualities of the Bichon.
Oliver's sweet nature is just waiting to be enjoyed and appreciated...he makes close playmates everywhere he goes. He is social and that means everyone he meets has the potential to become a friend. You know when a loved one approaches, Oliver's tail starts the greeting and it wiggles up through his entire body ending into a smile. And if a place is available next to a favorite family member, up Oliver goes to cuddle and snuggle and let you know the level of his devotion. Oliver is such a wonderful being...we think he represents the best qualities of his breeds. At approximately 9 - 12 months old and about 10 - 12 lbs, Oliver seems to have completely left behind the neglect and lack of love that made up his early life. He has become a fuzzy ball of good-will that loves to please - the happier his family is with his behavior, the more he shines with his accomplishments.
We would like to see Oliver in a home that includes him in family time and activities...he's very social and would thrive in a family that truly loves him and considers him a very important family member. Oliver would be a wonderful companion for active retirees (remember that Oliver is a very young guy) or families with dog-crazy kids who understand the importance of being very gentle with a small dog. They need to have the time and desire to be best friends with a truly adorable young pup. Oliver doesn't require another dog to be happy...but does enjoy his canine relationships with like-sized, gentle dogs.
We've requested that Oliver be neutered in Kansas. This is often not possible since there are too many unfixed dogs and not enough vets. If Oliver's neutering doesn't occur, Farfel's will be happy to cover all costs for his neuter and microchip (if one of our Denver vets is used) immediately upon his arrival in CO.

Oliver will be arriving on transport in Denver on 1/30/15. Applications are currently being accepted and can be found at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/. If you're interested in this sweet and devoted companion, please fill out and return to farfelsapps@gmail.com or mail a hard copy to Farfel's Farm
906 Pearl Street Boulder, CO 80302.
