My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Wes here. It use to be Westbrooke but not sure why! I was adopted from the OKC shelter a year ago and maybe that is the street they picked me up on then? It is anyone's guess. (Brooke and I met at the shelter and were taken by the same rescue... can you guess how she got her name? LOL) I am not sure why I was returned to the shelter but I was and the bad part is I have gained SOOO much weight in that year it is silly and I have little energy right now when it is so hot out. But that's ok as I just want to be near you.

Come to find out I have a thyroid problem and have to take a tiny pill twice a day! whoo hoo! I will be thin again in no time! And when I am I will be ready for a new home again! This time I hope a FOREVER home and not a temporary one as my last one turned out to be sniff.

It is hard being shuffled around but it has made me a good beagle they say, I am happy with anything and you can do almost anything to me as I know and trust humans despite being let down over and over. I know they try. Other than being anemic some and needing a thyroid pill I am good to go! I don't even need my teeth cleaned as I will let you brush them anytime you want. I am very easy going and laid back and a happy boy. I love to lay in the yard and watch the birds and roll in the grass and sleep too. I use the dog door to come back in when I get too hot and flop down on a soft doggie bed and watch you with happy adoring eyes. I can't hear you as I am deaf but I know you are saying sweet words to me so I just smile and close my eyes.
