ALTHOUGH THIS ANIMAL IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION THROUGH THE KING GEORGE ANIMAL RESCUE LEAGUE, s/he is available through the King George Animal Control. Lab Mix – Male – Adult I am a solid black, adult, male lab. I weigh 60 pounds and I am a very sweet and loveable dog. I might be just a little underweight right now. I was picked up on Ridge Road the day before Halloween. I have a little bit of a skin condition right now and need to get some medicine from the doctor. It almost looks like a little bit of dandruff on my back side and tail. It might just be some dry skin. But to get my skin problem fixed up I need a forever home that will love me and take me to see the doctor. I do like to brag though about my teeth. They are as clean as a whistle. You can’t really tell from the pictures, but my tail curls. I don’t know why, but I think it’s kind of cute, if I say so myself. Right now, I have tapeworms, but they are going to give me some medicine on Wednesday to help with that. I am very good on a leash. I like to stand on my hind legs and hug you. I do it very gently though, not like most dogs that jump on you. I very carefully put my front paws on your shoulders and then I just stand there so you can hug me. I have it down to a science. Please come and adopt me on November 5 and be my new family! If you would like to help the animals at the King George Animal Control shelter, you may make a donation to KGARL through Paypal. You do not need to have a Paypal account to do so. Your money will help us get the animals the proper vaccinations and vet work that they desperately need, and also help with pull fees and transportation costs. Why Adoption is a Great Option

(no name), a Dahlgren Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Dahlgren, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Dahlgren.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Dahlgren already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Dahlgren breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Dahlgren paves the way for another one to be saved.
