Gigi's Story...
Breed: Papillon
Name: Gigi
Approximate Age: 3 years old
Weight: 6 pounds
Color: Red and White

Gigi is a petite Papillon who has lived her life as a breeder dog, which means she is just learning what it is like to be picked up, held and petted. Gigi’s fur was matted, so she had to be shaved down. Once her coat grows back, Gigi will have the distinctive Papillon ear and leg feathering. Gigi is timid, but she is showing more and more frequent displays of the indomitable Papillon spirit, which is hiding just beneath her surface. Gigi gets along nicely with other dogs; in fact, an adoptive family with another small dog buddy is a must for Gigi. Gigi wants to engage in play and chase with the other small dogs in her foster home.

An all adult home with a fenced yard is required to adopt from Hart-2-Heart Rescue. For more information please contact hart2heartrescue@gmail.com. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gigi, a Greensboro Papillon dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Papillon for sale in Greensboro, or seeking a Papillon dog from a breeder in Greensboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Greensboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Greensboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Papillon breeders who help with Papillon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Greensboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
