Max s a 15 month old owner surrender. He weighs 11 pounds and walks well on a leash. Apparently the children in his former home wanted a dog, but mom and dad didn't. When the kids lost interest, Max went to a shelter. Max was a shelter favorite, but all the commotion was too much for him.
Max arrived in rescue earlier this week and adjusting well. All he needs is love. Max is very affectionate, and does well with kids, cats and other dogs. He is fine in his crate, but would prefer to hang out with the family.
Dog's like Max are a commodity in rescue. Max''s foster mom promised his next stop would be forever. If you believe you have the time, commitment, patience and other resources to bring this young dog from puppy hood to a senior, Max would love to meet you.
If you are interested in finding out more about Max, please fill out an
application. Max is being fostered in Shrewsbury.
The adoption fee is $375.

Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.Max
