JULIE & NICKIE's Story...
These two DARLING, SWEET purebred Senior Cocker Spaniels, Julie and Nickie, were turned in to the shelter on Jan. 23rd. It appears their owner died and I guess no one in the family to take care of them. They are both reported to be GOOD WITH KIDS. Poor Nickie, at 13 yrs, is blind and deaf and very confused and Julie, at 11 yrs old seems fine. They each weigh 30 lbs. They both had a bath by a staff member and are feeling a bit better. We really would like to see these dogs adopted together so ask the shelter if they have a reduced adoption fee if adopted together. They have LOTS OF LOVE TO GIVE and MANY HAPPY MOMENTS TO SHARE WITH YOU. Is there some kind family out there who would consider these two Seniors? They are current on vaccines, heartworm tested negative and will be micro chipped and altered upon adoption. Julie’s ID Is 572166 and Nickie’s is 572165 and they are in run 301 together.

When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, the names are oftentimes made up by volunteers.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

JULIE & NICKIE, a Marietta Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
