Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We have a standard grey male chinchilla up for adoption. His name is Penelope. Penelope was born around May 2010, making him 4-5 years old. Penelope is a MALE chinchilla – his previous owners originally thought he was a female, hence the name.
Penelope is a good chinchilla. He loves his flying saucer and just loves playtime. He will hop around and go nuts when you give him the chance. He’s an active chinchilla with energy to spare. Penelope is a sweet boy and is very curious. He will come up to the front of the cage to see what is going on. He does fine being handled and petted. He does not bite.
We do not know if Penelope gets along with other chinchillas.
As with all of our chinchillas/rescues, this chinchilla will come with 2 pounds of food to start you out (Mazuri pellets), a baggies of chews, and a printed out version of our care packet. He will also come with a lifetime of help and support, should you ever need it. If more supplies are needed, we also offer a variety of other supplies for sale, including cages (new and used), chew toys, hidey houses, and much more.
Regardless of past chinchilla experience, all potential homes will be asked to read our chinchilla care packet and fill out our adoption application/chinchilla questionnaire. If you are unwilling to do this, please do not waste our time or yours. No chinchilla will go to a new home without an adoption application being filled out - no exceptions.
