Facts about Billy Madison

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Brown Tabby
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Female
  • Hair: Short
Billy is about three years old, and is a spayed shorthaired tabby/white female. She was believed to be a feral cat, and was trapped, spayed, and released back outside. For months, she kept coming back to the home she was found at, and eventually slept in an outdoor heated cooler on the family’s back porch. She would let the family pet her, and step in the house for a minute, and then leave. This went on for months and months. Then one day, she appeared with an abcessed foot. The lady of the house knew she had to get her, and scruffed her, expecting she would not like that one bit. Instead, she went limp, and let herself be carried into the house. She did spectacularly at the vet, and she has been in the house ever since. She has done really well, and prefers to be an indoor cat only since she has become so accustomed to inside life and the feeling of safety and security it gives her!

She has a shy personality, and is startled with loud noises or sudden movements. She is, however, a total sweetheart. She loves to be brushed and scratched under her chin, and will let you do that for hours. She enjoys playing with toys as well. She would need to go to a home with an experienced cat owner with a quiet home. She seems to be comfortable with other cats and could possibly benefit from another gentle cat looking for a friend. She would do best in a home with no children, perhaps a single person or older couple. She also prefers a home without dogs. Please consider opening up your home to Billy. She is well worth it! Billy is up-to-date on vaccines and spayed.
