My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Update 02/11/15: Hi everybody! My name is Hershey and I am being fostered in Grapevine, Tx. I am only 3 years old and weigh 5 pounds (foster mom says 5 pounds of cuteness). I just wanted to tell you about myself. I have been in my temporary digs 3 weeks now, and I love it here! You see I love to get lots of attention, and foster mom understands. You see, my mom and sister have already went to their new home. So far the right home hasn't come along for me, and it can make a little guy insecure. Foster mom says she doesn't understand because I just couldn't be any cuter, and I am as sweet as a Hershey kiss! I had my neuter on Tuesday, and I didn't feel too good afterwards. But now I feel better. So here is what you need to know about me to see if I am the sweet boy you are looking for. I am playful, but not hyper. I love other dogs and prefer to have a furry friend or two in my new home. I am housetrained and have almost completely quit marking since I was neutered(foster mom acts like that is a really big deal)! I love to sit in your lap and give kisses. I like to play with toys and with my foster fur brother and sister. I am getting used to sleeping with my FM and FD since my mom and sister got adopted, and I really like it! So if you are looking for a sweet boy like me, drop us an email! I love it here, but I really want my own furever home!
Initial Bio 01/25/15: Hershey is a tiny little 3 year old, 5 pound yorkie-shih-Tzu mix that is being fostered in Grapevine, TX. He was surrendered along with his mother, Daisy, and his sister, Dot. His owner had passed away. He is a very sweet boy that loves to be held and have his tummy rubbed. He has no known health problems and is heartworm negative. He is housetrained except for a little marking which we hope will go away after he is neutered. He has always been with his mother and sister, so he does not like to be alone. It would be wonderful if he could be adopted with one of them, but if not, then he would do better in a home with another little friend to keep him company. Otherwise, I think he would be prone to separation anxiety. He is so small that he cannot be placed in a home with small children.

Stay tuned as we get to know him better.
