Sierra's Story...
Sierra is the perfect companion. She is an owner surrender, so is still a little bit confused as to what happened to her life, but she is settling in very well at her foster family's home. This charming and beautiful girl is house and crate trained, and good with cats and dogs of all sizes. She's gorgeous and affectionate, loves to be with her person, and is calm but has a fun and playful side. She gets along well with her foster's two male GSDs and has begun initiating play with a tennis ball. Sierra is also a bit of a talker - she communicates by whining, squeaking and vocalizing when she wants her foster's attention, her tail wagging in anticipation of petting or a game, and eyes shining with happiness.

Sierra is truly one of those dogs that is ready to step into a new home and become a best friend, confidant, and companion to the person or family who sees what a gem this girl is.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sierra, a Houston German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Houston, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
