My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MOOSE is a 4 year old neutered black male Lab who weighs 73 pounds. . What a sweet boy! He is a bigger guy with a blocky head. He was a little shy at first but after a few minutes he came over to check me out and was excited to see I had treats. He took the treat so gently, then started giving me thank you kisses and it was all tail wags from there on. As soon as I sat down and started petting him he sat on my feet and just leaned in to enjoy the attention and petting. It was hard to get any close up pictures of him because when he was close he liked to be really close and just melted into me. He knows sit, gives paw and knows stay. He was very receptive to all of these commands and took each reward treat with a very soft mouth. He let me pet him all over and didn't mind when I touched his feet or looked in his mouth. He just seemed very happy to be getting the attention and love and he likes to give kisses. He seems a bit hand shy if you move too quickly and he jumped a little a couple times when there were loud noises outside of the room we were in but he didn't run or hide or cower. He may be a little shy at first but seems to warm up without much delay. He is a really nice dog. Everyone at the shelter I spoke with just loves him and can't understand why he is still there. He is definitely a favorite. Moose is a really nice dog. Moose is approved for kids ages 12+.

Update (2/10): Moose is doing really well in his foster home! He gets along with the resident dogs and seems to enjoy their company. He has been enjoying walks and does well on an easy walk harness. He really needs a home that has a fenced yard because he enjoys his time off the leash and running around the most. He loves food, (both his and humans), he has been caught stealing from the counter but he is working on this problem! He knows sit, paw and simple commands. He is house trained and has been fine out of the crate during the day. He loves car rides! He seems afraid of loud noises and would do best in a quieter home with a pretty regular routine.

Update (01/28): Moose is an absolute doll and totally handsome to boot! Moose warms up quickly to women but needs a little patience from men and a treat or two and he comes around quickly! Moose is looking forward to the life of luxury that he deserves!
