IDGSR WELCOMES DIXIE DOLL INTO THE SAFETY OF THE RESCUE!!!
Dixie Doll is a petite Shepherd mix pup who has been treated roughly by those who have had her in their care. She is timid, shy and terrified at first meeting and dealing with new people. Sadly IDGSR and other rescue groups see this often, It infuriates us that someone could be so mean and hateful to a baby like this.
She is in a foster home with other dogs and cats and a 9 yr. old girl and does great with all. She will do best with patient adopters who will work with her to overcome her fear, and help her to feel trust and love and confidence again.
It hurts our hearts for Dixie Doll, she has much love to give and we want her to have a fulfilling and happy life, She will need someone to gently push her past her comfort zone daily – to help her understand that all things will be good.

Each dog's adoption donation varies depending on the age of the dog.
$300 for any dog 1 year and younger (BABY)
$250 for any dog 1-6 years (ADULT)
$150 for dogs over 7 (SENIOR)
All our adoptable dogs are up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing & monthly preventative and have been spayed or neutered.
Everyone must submit an application before an appointment is made to meet the dogs. Dogs are introduced to prospective adopters BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.
All dogs are fostered in TN unless stated otherwise.
