Nya's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Nya's Story...
This adorable little girl is named Nya and she is a happy go lucky little charmer. She will follow you everywhere and loves to snuggle on the couch with you.

She is a Carkie (part Yorkie and part Cairn Terrier - think Toto from the Wizard of Oz) so she displays the confidence inherent in most terriers combined with the easy going nature of a Yorkie. We encourage you to Google the breed to learn more about them, but they make great companions.

She is fully housebroken, but like all smaller breeds she will need to be let out on a regular basis where possible. She would be a great dog for an apartment or townhouse as she doesn't need a yard (but if you have one she loves to frolic).

She gets along great with other dogs once she gets used to them (her best friend is a 90 pound rottweiler!) but we have no experience with her temperament around cats or other pets such as ferrets.

She has no observed negative behavior habits such as chewing and is low shed (so she is a great dog for those who may have allergies or where shedding may be a problem).

She can be crated but she may exhibit some anxiety for first few days so you will need to be patient if you elect to crate her.

She will show you so much love and will be a wonderful addition to you family. Please contact us if you interested in meeting her and providing her with her furever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nya, a Palatine Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Cairn Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Cairn Terrier for sale in Palatine, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Cairn Terrier dog from a breeder in Palatine.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Palatine already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Palatine breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Cairn Terrier breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Cairn Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Palatine paves the way for another one to be saved.
