Opal's Story...
Opal is a stunning 3 year old, Mainecoon/ Norwegian Forest Cat mix. She was adopted 3 years ago from a shelter and lived a life of luxury. She always has lived as an only kitty and had everything she ever wanted.
Opal's mommy had to move suddenly and left her in the care of a friend temporarily. The friend treated Opal like she was her own and loved her unconditionally.
Unfortunately, Opal was not the only kitty in the household. The other cat was not cat friendly and seriously injured Opal. The cats were separated into separate rooms, but the friend felt that this was unfair for sweet, social Opal.
Opal's mommy decided to call the rescue in hopes that Opal will be given the life that she knows she deserves.
Opal would do best in a home with no dogs or cats. She loves kids and would do just fine in a family environment. Opal is a sweet, playful and loving girl looking to be the queen of the house.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Opal, a Cerritos Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in Cerritos, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in Cerritos.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cerritos already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cerritos breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cerritos paves the way for another one to be saved.
